Anaesthetising dogs and cats can sometimes be a challenge. This mini series aims to tackle some of the more difficult anaesthetics you might experience. The first session will cover paediatric and geriatric patients and include information on physiology and how you can adapt the anaesthetic plan. The second session will cover challenging abdominal cases – haemoabdomen and septic peritonitis. Finally, the third session will discuss the principles behind anaesthesia of cases with intracranial pressure. Included in the third session will be a session on checklists and how they can be used to facilitate management of these cases.
