Session 1
A to Z of Trauma
What you’ll learn:
- Initial patient triage
- Imaging the trauma patient
- Analgesia and anaesthesia
- Surgical management of common trauma emergencies e.g. diaphragmatic rupture, degloving injuries
Session 2
A to Z of Respiratory Emergencies
What you’ll learn:
- Patient stabilisation and initial management
- Imaging for the respiratory emergency
- Surgical management of respiratory emergencies e.g. pneumothorax
- Managing the respiratory patient post surgery e.g. tracheostomy tube placement and management
Session 3
A to Z of Emergency Abdominal Surgery
What you’ll learn:
- Making a diagnosis
- Analgesia and anaesthesia
- Surgical management of common abdominal emergencies e.g. septic peritonitis
- Post-operative patient management
