1803 – Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound (July 2022)

This course is suitable for you if you‘re a general practitioner who’s got to grips with the basics of abdominal ultrasound, including setting up the machine and the basic approach to the larger abdominal organs.

What you’ll learn:

• Gain improved confidence on evaluating organs such as the gastrointestinal and urinary tract, focusing on difficult areas like the pylorus and trigone
• A systematic approach to the evaluation of technically challenging organs such as the adrenal glands and pancreas
• A vascular approach to organs to assess the major abdominal arteries and veins
• Introduction to ultrasonographic assessment of the neck
• Introduction to tissue sampling techniques
