Conformational abnormalities that can occur with medial patellar luxation include:-

  • Coxo Vara
  • Medial bowing of distal femur (distal femoral varus)
  • External torsion of distal femur
  • Shallow Trochlear sulcus
  • Medial trochlear ridge absent/poorly developed
  • Hypoplastic medial femoral condyle
  • Medial displacement of tibial tuberosity
  • Proximal tibial varus
  • Internal tibial torsion
  • Internal rotation of pes
