I am just getting started with orthopaedic surgery and, like many of my colleagues, feel more comfortable with basic soft tissue procedures. I want to build a solid skill base and get comfortable with tissue handling and fixation methods.

Level 2 (Intermediate)
Level: Intermediate
This group of clinicians ranges from those who have completed a basic or introductory course, to those who have been performing some orthopaedic procedures and would like to refine their skills and get better at techniques they struggle with.
The Hands-On Practical Course For You Is Practical Fracture Fixation
This 2 day practical course is an excellent follow on from the Introduction to Orthopaedics course, but is equally suitable as a stand-alone course for vets with basic or intermediate orthopaedic experience. Practical sessions will allow you to become comfortable with basic fracture fixation techniques using plastic bones and models. You’ll then be able to apply these techniques in our wet lab. Guidance from the experienced and approachable tutors will help you gain the confidence to tackle common antebrachial, tibial and femoral fractures seen in your practice.
